Tibetans in Switzerland, under the auspice of Tibetan Community of Switzerland and Liechtenstein gathered at the Swiss city of Zurich to commemorate a candle vigil and peace march in a show of solidarity with the recent spate of self immolations in Tibet. Coinciding with the global day of action called on by the Exile Government in Dharamsala to highlight and call for the end of repressive policies in Tibet by the incumbent Communist Government in Beijing, the march was a symbolic movement from the Tibetan Community in Switzerland and Liechtenstein in showing a spirit of brotherhood and solidarity with the recent self immolators in Tibet . At 6.30 in the evening, donning traditional costumes, black masks and reciting prayers , around 500 marchers gathered at Werdmühleplatz, Zürich and proceeded on a candle light march culminating finally in front of the Chinese Consulate in zurich to highlight the discontentment and global outcry against the Communist Chinese Regime over their brutal and repressive political, religious and human rights policies in Tibet. At the Consulate, after the petition send to the Chinese consulate was read to the gathering,  the marchers were addressed by the Vice President of the Tibetan Community of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, President of the Tibetan Women's Association of Switzerland and by members from the Swiss Tibet friendship Society and Tibetan Youth Association in Europe.
