The Tibetan Community Horgen celebrated Losar on the 19 and 20 March 2011 in Waldegg School Hall. The 2 day celebration started on Saturday morning at 10:00 with prayers for His Holliness the Dalai Lama, the tragic deaths of the freedom fighter Jigme Norbu la and Ven. Phunstok la from Kirti Monastery in Amdo and thousands who had lost their lives in recent earthquake in Japan.
The afternoon program was very entertaining where everyone had the opportunity to watch some very interesting Tibetan movies, and later different games were organised for the young and old.

Dinner was served at 18:00 hrs. The kitchen team gave all their effort for a lavish Indian cuisine. The evening program started with a Changshay and Tibetan cultural dances by Tibetan school and the Horgen dance group. Various artists performed Bollywood dances and some modern Tibetan and western songs. The program ended with the thanks giving Jheldar (Tibetan white scarf) to the old and new members of the committee.
The second day started with a delicious brunch and Vote for Kalön Tripa and Chitue. The afternoon was relaxing an entertaining with Karaoke. The day ended at 16.00 hrs around 300 people had joined the 2 day celebration. Photos..
