2nd action of the Tibetan Community in Switzerland and Liechtenstein for a two-year campaign

About 40 members of the sections and Turbenthal Rikon participated in the action in front of the UN building at the Place des Nations on 27 June 2011 from 11:30am to 4.00pm in Geneva, Switzerland.
The action took place under a bright sunshine but with scorching heat under the motto religion, where Tibetan monks from the Tibet Institute Rikon, and the participants recited among others the Long Live prayer for His Holiness the Dalai Lama and performed rituals for the religious freedom in Tibet.
Tibetan national flags, prayer flags and banners with slogans such as the UN send an independent fact-finding mission to Tibet, freedom of religion is a basic human right, religious freedom in Tibet,
etc., were displayed at the Place des Nations. At the same Flyers were distributed to passers-by and signatures were collected. The petition was launched on 30 May 2011, with the aim of to send a fact-finding mission to Tibet. At the end of the campaign, the petition will be handed over to the President of the UN Human Rights Council and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
At the end of the day the participants sang the Tibetan national anthem and shouted the slogan -Bhod Gyalo, Tibet will prevail. Photos..
