Tibetan Language School of Zürich celebrated His Holiness the Dalai Lama`s 85th Birthday in Zürich,Switzerland

Affoltern :Saturday, 11^thJuly 2020, To mark the 85^th birthday of global peace icon and the most revered spiritual leader of Tibet, His Holiness the Great 14^th Dalai Lama, the Tibetan Language School of Section Zürich organized a modest ceremony  in Zürich Affoltern.  

In keeping with the COVID-19 guidelines which restrict elaborate gatherings, the celebration was attended by Students, parents and Board members only, in open garden.

The Programme began at about 10.30 am with recitation of Tibetan National Anthem and Dhentsik Monlam.  After the prayers and ritual offerings, the students ,parents and Boardmembers  offered Khatak to the Portrait of His Holiness , received blessing and prayed for his holiness the Dalai Lama`s  excellent health ,long life and fulfillment of his benevolent wishes.

The Ceremony was successfully ended with a cultural presentation by the students and recitation of Prayers by the Parents and Board members.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama`s dedication to the idea of building a world without violence, his compassion for everyone and call to care for humanity are of great importance for present and future generations. We the Tibetans believe that his holiness `words of wisdom will continue reaching and touching many more people on this Planet.

His Holiness is probably the only religious leader today who places an emphasis on science and scientific study of human consciousness. Many expressed their gratitude to his holiness for laying the foundation for “the dialogue between spirituality and science.”
